Texas School Voucher Program

The Texas School Voucher Program is now open for submissions through March 17th, 2026.

The application process is fairly simple, but we have found a couple things to watch out for.

You will need to enter your child's Texas Unique Student Identifier, or UID. This UID will be used to validate your child's IEP with TEA directly. If your child has ever been enrolled in a public or charter school, they will have this number. If you need to look it up, go to the UID lookup site. Click on Student Lookup, where you will be prompted to enter your child's first name, date of birth, and social security number. However, if your child's UID does not pull up on the UID site, call your school district and they will provide you with that number.
In the application, it will give you 2 school options. (Homeschool/Other or Private School.) Please choose Private School. However, if you submit your application with Homeschool/Other, the choice cannot be changed.
After submitting the application, the site will ask what Private School your child is planning to attend. Since KITE Academy is currently in the process of becoming accredited, we will not be listed. However, you can complete the school selection after the application period. You have until 7/15/26 to choose your Private School. The application will still be valid. We will update the website and notify everyone on Facebook once KITE Academy is on the Private School list, which should be in early June.
